no switchbox required for RC4.52IC, but for RC6 & RC4.52UNI 
QUICK-INSTALL 1.) Run your PCR1500/2500 with the software,
which came with the radio (ICOM-software).
Make sure that the radio is responding to the ICOM program. 2.) Shut down your PC and radio.
And I mean: TURN IT OFF COMPLETELY!!!!!! 3.) Install the IC-SWL switchbox to a free/ unused COM-serial port.
If you have none, use a USB<>SERIAL CONVERTER (follow the instruction which came with the converter!).
Install the converter first, and then connect the IC-SWL. MAKE SURE THAT YOU WILL NEVER CHANGE THE USB-PORTS.
If you do, WINDOWS will assign a new COM-port-number to the hardware
and the programs may not find the radio anymore. (that is one of the downsides of USB) 4.) Turn on the radio first, then your PC. 5.) Insert the RadioCom-CD into the CD-drive.
The install program should start automatically. If not, run RC45AutoStart.exe in the root of the CD. If that should not work, then copy the CD onto your hard drive into a new folder.
Then run RC45AutoStart.exe out of that folder. 6.) Choose your radio [ICOM IC-PCR2500], and then click on Install. 042007 |
