Windows Vista information:

ARC396 V2.0 is fully Vista 'compliant'.

The following software packages are not fully Vista compatible, software will run, but at user's risk, and will not be updated to Vista:

• ARC2 for Icom IC-R2
• ARC3 for Icom IC-R3
• ARC780 for Uniden (U)BC780XLT
• ARC5000 for AOR AR5000 series
• ARC8200 for AOR AR8200 series
• ARC8600 for AOR AR8600 series

All other ARC software packages should work fine under Vista since our development software is fully supported by Microsoft under Vista. If you use ARC Virtual Control you need to install this Vista patch 932406 to avoid screen problems.

All ARC software (except the new ARC396 V2.0) under Vista must be installed and run with full administrative rights.

Instructions for setting Vista administrative rights:

- install the software
- do not start the software yet!
- click 'Computer' on your desktop
- in the 'Folder' section click on 'C:'
- locate the software installation folder ( usually program files/butel/ )
- right click on the program file (ARC icon) and select properties.
- select 'compatibility' tab
- locate the option 'run as administrator' and tick that option.
- confirm by clicking ok.
- you can now start the program
